Protect yourself and your family with our fantastic annual Flu Vaccination service. This seasonal Flu Vaccine Service is free for eligible patients and our trained pharmacists will give you all the advice you need to stay healthy in winter.

Flu vaccination is available every year on the NHS to help protect adults and children at risk of flu and its complications.

Flu can be unpleasant, but if you’re otherwise healthy, it’ll usually clear up on its own within a week.

But flu can be more severe in certain people, such as:

anyone aged 65 and over
pregnant women
children and adults with an underlying health condition (such as long-term heart or respiratory disease)
children and adults with weakened immune systems

Anyone in these risk groups is more likely to develop potentially serious complications of flu, such as pneumonia (a lung infection), so it’s recommended that they have a flu vaccine every year to help protect them.

Who can have the flu vaccine?

The flu vaccine is given free on the NHS to adults who:

are 65 and over (including those who will be 65 by 31 March 2024)
have certain health conditions
are pregnant
are in long-stay residential care
receive a carer’s allowance, or are the main carer for an older or disabled person who may be at risk if you get sick
live with someone who is more likely to get a severe infection due to a weakened immune system, such as someone living with HIV, someone who has had a transplant, or is having certain treatments for cancer, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis
